Aikido is pretty much just a song about someone obsessing over a relationship that they wished worked out but didn’t. That’s how i tend to read it, there’s also references to prescriptions drugs too and how rather than getting help for illness’s Dr’s rather prescribe people drugs—which isn’t the issue; but i think main issue being brought up is that rather prescribe something that’s actually supposed to help they prescribe the most common thing when illnesses especially mental illness isn’t a one size fits all deal so it sort of does more harm then good and you spend years trying to find the proper prescription to take. But yeah again i read this as an obsessive love song then really a love song.
