5.3.2026 - 1/100 days of productivity
Finally going to hop on the 100 days of productivity trend, I need so badly a rigid system keeping me accountable. My worst habit right now is setting (perhaps too ambitious) daily to-do lists and finishing nothing on them, so hopefully posting here every single day and seeing either my victories or failures will motivate me to be more productive.
I’m afraid it’s a classic case of senioritis - I know I’ll be out of school for a year after this semester’s done and my brain’s battling me to check out of the productive student mode. Really not ok considering there’s two whole months left 😭 normally this happens only around finals
I think it’ll be quite satisfying seeing the checked off lists on here so I really hope this is my saving grace. Alas, for today:
Hunt down and find green lasers among the undergrad labs (whoever’s hidden them from me count your days)
Make sure microcontroller code works with new lasers or tweak if needed ahead of meeting
Have QKD lab meeting

Cut the dopamine supply. Work in short, controlled bursts (20-30 minutes max) — even when you feel like working longer. Leave tasks unfinished. This forces your brain to stay engaged in the background without burning out. Delay gratification. After each session, step away. Don’t check results or keep pushing. Low-dopamine environment. Limit phone use, social media, and even music that triggers a dopamine spike.
okay idea
like does this make sense
idk my brain was bored even tho i wanted to keep drawing my sonadow fankids this weekend but i don’t think that’s gonna happen
ok but fr tho my mindset changes from “pure fluff sonadow so cute soft” to “i need to make a doohickey right now” like phases of the moon it’s fucking crazy and i don’t like it actually

i got the results back from the test i've taken and it didn't go too well but i still passed. now i'm studying two subjects that i can hopefully give both a fair shot in june (and maybe, with the +1 i got on my test, pass one of them 🍀).
to-dos:
□ Read 60 slides (Mathematical methods in engineering)
□ Notes on paragraphs 18 and 19 (Systems theory)
■ Attend online lesson (Systems theory)

Uni has been really demanding lately, well it always has been. I'm just in the readjustment period after a year of minor courses. The work load is as heavy as I remember it to be. But what I can't fathom are 7 am classes four days of the week! It's just week 1 and I feel like dying already (as someone who has always been a night owl). With that said, I think I'll be updating less here but I will still try to do so as often as I can.
