Opening to the public for the first time today is one mans incredible collection of nearly four thousand model vehicles. No ordinary collection, it has been thoughtfully curated at tge Gippsland Vehicle Collection in Maffra. The collection itself was worth the entrance fee. How do you choose to show the collection in one Instagram photo, because truly its impossible to do it justice. This model is of Jack Murray's Silver ghost, used in the Redex trials. Ten thousand miles of searing heat, dirt roads, breakdowns and calamity around Australia. We're currently listening to Evan Green's book on Audible of how the next Redex might have happened if they'd run it another year. Set in the '50s its a gripping yarn. Visit to the Gippsland Motor vehicle collection has been an absolute delight. We've booked our Melbourne Accommodation in preparation for sailing to Tassie so couldn't stay for Maffras Show. They're celebrating 130 years so it'll be a beauty. Rv's can stay at the museum. As you can see in the photo, its not just about the blokes, fashion of the era on display is shown too. The collection is changed every 3 or 4 months so full attention can be given to the vehicles on display. Freedom camping just outside of Rosedale. Underneath the bridge, the original area was beautifully designed with arches. When the bridge was widened, they replicated the arches. Good misty Momday morning! From the banks of the Snow River. We've crossed the border into Victoria again and freedom camped in one of seven camps along the river. Our neighbor caught himself a healthy brown trout and lost two more. The river is flowing after the mouth opened yesterday. We presume that was from the big spill we saw at Jindabyne a few days ago. One way of increasing milk production! A visit to the Bega Cheese factory today. This dairy company is quite impressive. They've even diversified and bought KRAFT so the production of Vegemite remains in Australia.
