11 January 2017. 

Jana came to London January 8th, flew in from Oakland, the first time we had seen each other since April 5th 2016.

 For a while we had come to terms with the fact we’d need to get married one way or another, which, isn't the ideal situation to be in, after all, marriage is for love and shouldn't be put under pressure by visas. 

Regardless, we knew it was going to have to happen eventually but I wanted to ensure Jana knew that this is as real as it gets for me. SO, we went to Paris, by train from Ebbsfleet international, Jana, my Mum & stepdad.

So that night, with Jana’s guard down, blind sided by a new city and unaware of my nerves, I popped the question at the Eiffel Tower before spending the evening together in a drunken romance, just thankful to be together, soaking in the lights, the traffic, the bars, and back to our hotel in the early hours of the morning, bliss.

One thing long distance removes is a sickness within relationships, complacency. For every second we are apart I remember every detail of the last time I saw you, I have that to keep me going until I see you again.
