PRESSURE MY BELOVED. MAXIELANDO....

i have spoken to so many people about the way that max/daniel/lando would never work but i want to Make them work.. like i am a toddler bashing a wooden block against the wrong shaped cut-out. there are so many bits of this wip i’m so proud of having written but then when i try to work on it again its like an itch i cant reach. ough.

just two bits otherwise i’ll copy paste the entire 2k:

Lando’s right, both of them had had Max in such different ways.

“You were his friend,” Daniel says quietly, because it’s true. Daniel has never even come close to anything like what Lando and Max have. They’re good friends, they love each other, that much is obvious even without the sex.

Lando blows out a long breath. “And you were everything else, to him,” he says, and Daniel looks up at that, because- 

“What?” 

“He still holds you on a pedestal,” Lando says after a long pause. 

Daniel just sits there. His glass is sweating through the leg of his jeans. 

“I… don’t do that,” Lando continues, and it makes Daniel laugh. 

“No, you do not,” he agrees, and sees that Lando is smiling at him. He looks pleased, and easy, and when Daniel reaches for him, he cuddles up to Daniel’s side without another word.

and:

“Why do you both want me so much?” Daniel asks. He’s genuinely curious. He has no idea. Why choose something this complicated when they could have had anyone in the world? 

“I’ve always wanted you,” says Max, low-gear and lethal, and Daniel squeezes himself closer against Max’s ribs. That much, he’d good enough as guessed. To hear it out loud still feels like an elbow to the stomach.

okay I listen to? a pretty broad spectrum of music but off the top of my head I'll just select from the playlist I refer to as "Connor is DJing" (my little brother's music taste skdjsj) so. Power Trip by J Cole. this feels like cheating bc I listen to born sinner quite a bit but i wouldn't call myself like. a rap fan.
