Today was another long drive day, we drove from Nice to Florence, with a quick stopover in Pisa.
Pisa is the smallest place, and literally all that attracts people there is the Leaning Tower, but the basilica and baptistry are also on a lean. So we stopped there for a couple hours, got hassled by about 25 people trying to sell us illegal things (like handbags and sunnies - they claim to be designer but aren't which is why they are illegal) on the walk into town. Its actually pretty scary in Italy, the crime rate is quite high. We had to actually hide all our things we were leaving on the bus, because if they can see anything they will break into it. So with that it mind we made sure it was all well out of site and left. It was really hot outside, so the walk into Pisa was gross but we made it. We were staying there for an hour and a half so we had that long to wander around.
We all got our photos, we had a competition going for the most creative, they found some shade to pass out in. This was a pretty cute little bonding session between the boys and I.
Once our time was up, we walked back to the bus, nearly getting hit by cars and trains, whoops. The bus hadn't be broken into thank god, so we were on our way to Florence. Instead of staying right in the heart of Florence like we had done the previous with Topdeck, we were staying at a campsite in the middle of the tuscan hills, it was absolutely stunning. This time we only had cabins for two, so Natalia and I were sharing. After a quick shower, her and i set off to explore the camp. They had a gym, spa and an indoor heated pool. Too bad I didn't bring any bikinis with me, this pool looked great, it even had a slide. My inner 5 year old just wanted to go on it.
Soon enough we found our group of boys in the bar, drink in hand. Pretty standard by this point. We both got a drink and sat with them, waiting for the rest of the group to inevitably rock up. We really didn't have to wait all the long. I was drinking gin on an empty stomach, so I was feeling the effects pretty fast.
Thank god it was finally time for dinner, pizza and pasta. What else when in Italy. Oh, plus red wine, that the campsite made. I liked this wine a little too much I think, as half way through dinner I had had half a litre to myself. Whoops. Thats when the game of life and buffalo started up again. All the guys got me for buffalo (holding the drink in my right hand when it should have been in my left) at least 4 times and on top of that, somehow they managed to get me to say 'MINE' 9 times, so 4 drinks were skulled and 90 push ups were done. I knew my arms were going to be incredibly sore tomorrow, but I was really drunk so I didn't care too much. Though the owner of the restaurant was so impressed with me, he gave me an extra slice of pizza. Go me.
As the night went on, I drank more and more, which in hind sight was a realllllly bad idea. At one point I ran over to Scotty, who was trying to tune some girl and showed him the llama dance. (I actually have a video of him doing it later in the trip so I'll put that up when the time comes). Apparently he has a video of Red Wine Sarah doing this and then giggling and running away. I am yet to see it.
We all went down to the little 'Disco Disco' they had at the campsite and danced like complete idiots. At one point I decided I wanted to kiss someone, so Chris it was.
I do still have feelings for Viktor, but I was in Europe and don't generally do that sort of thing so I just went with it. Glad I did, he was a really good kisser. We didn't go home together or anything, just harmless hooking up. Though when he went back to his cabin, his friend Adam had locked the door and was getting busy with someone, so he pushed our beds together and crashed with me and Natalia.
