“LIMITED WATER CONSUMPTION”
1. How does it feel to have your water consumption limited to a minimal amount?
--> After doing this challenge, I’ve been having mixed emotions. At first, I felt frustrated about the idea because I think it was unnecessary and difficult to do. Honestly, I consume half an hour inside the shower so the thought of limiting it to 5 minutes was quite impossible for me. However, after three days of doing so, I was amazed by the fact that I was able to do it. Of course, I feel happy and contented because I am able to take part of conserving water even in the simplest form of action. To know how clean freshwater is badly needed in the present, this challenge encouraged me to continue limiting my water consumption because I know it makes a big impact.
2. Is this something you can do long-term?
--> Yes, if it is really necessary to do so. At first, it might be difficult but as time will pass, I would get use to it.
3. In the future, with the amount of shortages we have when it comes to water, limiting your water consumption may be inevitable. What are your thoughts on this?
--> The fact that clean freshwater is very limited and billions of people are depending on it, shortages are possible. Water shortages can even be experienced in different parts of the world in the present. We, humans, being the main consumers of water, are also responsible for its conservation. We are given the rights to use water, but these rights come with great responsibilities. Each and everyone should be willing to limit their water consumption for the good of all. Adjustments and changes should be made in terms of the usage of water. I myself is willing to take part of conserving water because as a part of the community, I feel like I necessarily have to do so.
