i agree with the points made to extent. i do feel like the writer have slacked on her character, but they've kind of slacked on ALL character development lately if you ask me. ( this wasnt me bitching i'm just kind of commenting? )

Like, i wanted to see kira & stiles discussing the nogitsune because like shit, HER FAMILY HAD SO MUCH TO DO WITH THAT and they could have bonded over that or talked about it? And same with allison and stiles, they could have had team human bonding time but they were only relevant to each other as mutual friends through scott & lydia, tbh. It disappointed me.
I wanted to see more about the GIRLS & their histories this season four. Not just scott’s “mostly male pack (save for malia )” & all their werewolf problems. Does that make sense? I’m a feminist and i tend to find with male writers and especially gay male writers writing for teens, that they hype up on heterosexual manic pixie dream girl & guy ships and homosexual ships and negate the gray areas of bisexuality, lesbianism, pansexual, asexual & transgender relationships.
( I mean hey FAKING IT is a tv show on MTV, but it is used as a FARCE & comical plot line that one girl is gay/questioning and her seemingly straight friend and her become “lesbians” for popularity & that has problems in itself ** mini mtv rant )
Like, I love sciles but we hardly saw allydia in the past seasons too. And the only mention of gay/bisexuality comes from Stiles, Danny, Ethan & Mason, & the only mention of lesbians comes from lydia’s dead grandma. An afterthought and a use for a plotline rather than a fact about a character’s sexuality. Just ugh, I wish so much better for the girls of teen wolf & their backstories and shit, even their powers. Like Kira, Lydia & Malia STILL don’t have the full story or grasp on their powers yet the season was mostly spent with scott creating a beta, liam going through that change & then malia’s transformation and change was only helped/brought about through stiles & scott’s guidance, not really born out of her own self-resilience which i think she has a lot of. UGH POTENTIAL MAN.
