@kalamaika ‘s gloomtober and prompt “crown”. I knew immediately I have to draw my Amber child at the possible end of her journey, after she grows up and gets to the point where she actually deserves the things coming her way.

Inktober - day 1

I wanted to do exclusively Fire Emblem related inktober but yesterday I decided that I won’t. My life is a mess right now and I don’t want to force myself to do some of the themes so I decided I’ll draw whatever I’ll have in mind and it fhat would match the prompts of FE Inktober it would be a cool bonus. :)

So for the first day, have my precious Eileen of Amber.

1, 9, 11 for your Amber OC

Ahhhhhh someone asked about my baby Eileen ♥

1) What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)?

I changed her concept a lot from how it is now. Eileen was created probably when I was 15 or so. I read the Chronicles of Amber from Roger Zelazny for probably the 8th time and I came with the idea of having an OC (my best friend Blueberri joined me on this road and helped me a lot during the whole creation process) based on Eric since he was one of my favourite characters and I somehow wanted his story to be more… finished.So this raven haired mess appeared but she was a lot different than she is now. She was around her teen/twenties, lived in Ireland, studied at medical university/prepared for her medical studies. She was supposed to be a hard self-insert since I was in my teens and wanted to be a doctor as well. Since I was greatly influenced by anime, Eileen was this kawaii girl who blushes when she sees her love interests (JULIAN okay.), she stutters when she feels unsure and cries a lot.I returned to her few years later and decided she needs a change because concept of a cute anime-ish self-insertish girl wouldn’t work in the world she was created to.So I made few changes - Eileen is in her 30s, lives (and studied) in Scotland and she currently works as a neurosurgeon. She is arrogant, ambitious, very pissed off and tired of her “ordinary” life with stupid people. Eileen can get the shit done if she decides what shit that might be.She doesn’t cry, at least not in front of her untrustworthy family. She doesn’t stutter unless being choked or being forced to stutter physically. She doesn’t blush unless Julian makes her. She’s NOT kawaii.

9) Are they based off of you, in some way?

Hell. Fucking. Nope.Main inspiration for Eileen was her father Eric. Eileen cares very much about her homeland Amber, she doesn’t like to admit she’s wrong and she’s got great leadership abilities and charisma. I also gave her very exclusive Amberite personality - she is ambitious, proud, callous, somehow mischievous and doesn’t care about hurting people on her way to success. It is a great fun playing as her or writing her story since she is so different.

11) Did you know what the OC’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation?

Eileen was supposed to be pure heterosexual faithful only to Julian. That wouldn’t work since she’s almost immortal being able to travel between many worlds not to mention her moral compass is somehow different than for a normal human. I settled down with pansexuality for her (because she doesn’t care how many legs/dicks/vaginas/tentacles does the being she’s with have as long as she’s attracted to it).
