Back from watching #Tenet at my local #VueCinema (@vue) - fully masked up of course - and the first time I've been back since watching the excellent 'Jojo Rabbit' in January! And I enjoyed it. Once again #ChristopherNolan deploys a fantastical #SciFi concept, a bit more deeper than say #Inception #Interstellar #ThePrestige and feeling like it's more in common with #Memento than any of those films, all the while making you have to pay attention to the plot throughout the movie, although we are given a brief explanation of the inversion concept early on. The cast is pretty good and I liked #JohnDavidWashington #RobertPattinson and #ElizabethDebicki characters, although #KennethBranagh's accent sounded a bit dodgy at times, he played the villain that wants to see the world burn well. The action scenes were impressive too, and I liked the way the inversion concept played out. It made a kind of sense to me 😅 Definitely not a case of sitting back and switching your brain off for a couple of hours or so, it's a complicated Sci-Fi movie with a concept woven into the plot that requires you to pay attention throughout and a movie that probably improves the experience the more times you watch it, as you pick up on the plot beats in the movie. I love those types of movies. Recommended if you like Nolan's previous science fiction movies and something a little bit different.
