"Well. If it isn't Sui Fengs old hag of a teacher."
~Taste of Freedom
Maine stood atop a forested hilltop; he’d chosen this place not for the strategic advantages it may give him in this particular training exercise No, he’d chosen it for he was tired of the desolate fields that so cruelly mirrored the emptiness he felt within. Above all else though he’d chosen this place for its relative solitude. Though one question still remained would other shinigami show up?
~~
For he knew that they’d been given orders to detain and recover him by any means necessary; excluding the taking of his life. However the young soul reaper had long grown accustomed to this game of cat mouse. He’d yet to be captured and truly dreaded returning to that place. For there he wasn’t dead per say but neither was he alive. The feelings it gave him being within the seireitei were palpable to the seemingly drunken high he got by being here amongst the caressing embrace of nature.
~~
However did it truly matter? For if he were to be captured would they care for his views? His feelings and personal wants? He truly doubted they’d be quite so generous as to consider why he ‘ran’ away. No, he’d be punished, put under closer observation… then this place and the freedom it granted him would be taken away. Which led him to his secondary reason for coming here…..Training.
~~
Since if they planned to force him back whether willingly or kicking and screaming all he needed was the strength to resist; to win. Though given how this search had been drawn out for several weeks he doubted they would involve those such as the captains in a search for him at least not as of yet. Couple that with his belief that he was on par with at least lieutenant class as of now, possibly higher though his recent lack of being in the presence of the officers made it quite hard to gauge his strength to theirs and he was one ‘helluva’ force to be reckoned with.
~Shadow Fighting
But now time for thoughts and mere speculation had ceased, it was now that he commenced the training that would allow him to surpass the limitations that kept him bound and shackled to his current level. To spread his wings and transcend above the meager limitations that had somehow created an seemingly insurmountable wall before him.
~~
“My greatest opponent has tailed me my entire life been there in my brightest moments and all but gone when times grew dark.. But now I entreat upon it to pay penance. I call upon the shadow that’s followed me with obsessive insistence to help me to not merely help me transcend my limits but shatter them to unveil something new.” That’s when it began his shadow began to extricate itself from him, snaking across the clearing until it stood mere yards away from him. Zanpaktou drawn and breathing non-existent a near mirror image of Maine’s whose breathing had grown soft and even nearly imperceptible as it stirred the air before his lips. Though unlike his counterpart he didn’t draw his blade nor did he retreat or making any forward movement for he knew that if he were to be removed from this clearing or simply incapacitated that his shadow would once more become merely his silent companion. So now was not the time to make hasty decision.
~~
The shadowed counterpart however had no such whims for it materialized before Maine with a speed rivaling teleportation, shooting his leg out in an attempt to clip the underside of Maine’s legs. However they shared the same styles, strengths, abilities, the only differential factor was thought process. Which is Maine not only evaded the attack by leaping above the miniscule attack he was easily able to bring forth his blade to halt the progression of the downward stroke of the shadowy counterpart causing flames and sparks to shower about them.. Though it was the insistent screeching of the blades that caused Maine to cringe given the peculiar way in which his hearing was overly sensitive to sounds that would cause no problems for that of other humans.
~~
Though that mere fact did little to throw him off his game for they continued to clash like this for hours that evolved into days that crossed the threshold of a week. Yet it didn’t faze the shinigami for yes he was tired, yes he was burned and marred by the flames that they both wielded. But he could feel it welling within him an insurmountable amount of spiritual energy that continuously grew as they trained…. Which was why shock snaked like poison through him as an insurmountable spiritual pressure entered his general area. However given that the one on the west was alone and the multiple others came from the east he knew they were trying to entrap him… Had he been so foolish as to allow that much spiritual energy to leak from him? To all but give them a beacon..
~Failed Escapes
“No matter..” He whispered in a hushed tone, if they wished to converge all he merely had to do was outrun them. Though given his sleep deprived state and lack of eating given the wholehearted way in which he delved into his training he was merely left with will-power and determination. Though to him that was enough for once he jumped to the balls of his feet and pivoted he was gone.. His body less than a flicker amongst the trees as he escaped North.
~~
But something was off the lone spiritual pressure had disappeared in it’s entirety, whilst the ones on the east still pursued but were obviously unable to keep up with his speed. That’s when he suddenly stopped skidding to a stop as he saw the figure before him standing patiently before the lake with which he had planned to at the very least pause at as if momentarily. How? When? Why? Questions that held no answer ghosted within his mind, attempted to control him but he turned that anxiousness that dread to use by employing it all to mask his spiritual pressure. For even if she had sensed his original position upon seeing her he know ghosted silently through foliage his feet padding silently against the dewy grass. As he attempted to circumvent the violet haired female.
I think you do a great job writing for Byakuya. I can be a little picky with them tbh, and I really like your portrayal. I like having you on my dash and reading your posts here and there. Keep up the good work friend (:
; anonymous or not, send me an honest opinion on my writing / character
outofblossoms;; You know what the best thing is? When someone is picky with how a certain character is portrayed but yet you actual enjoy my portrayal, makes me happy to know that. Which encourages me to continue having Bya as my muse. I am honored, hun. I am also glad you enjoy my threads, I would encourage you to read more~

Send me a ‘★’ if you actually like my blog. Takes a second, means a lot.

A grin make it’s appearance on her facade. The pinch did not hurt too much, although for the mighty noble to do such a thing was not something you saw every day. “Ooh—? Are we playing like that now Byakuya-bo. You know you shouldn’t start games up with you’re not prepared to be defeated~”
✿The Noble's eyebrow twitched at the other's taunting. "As if I wanted to play any games..." Avoid the cat's eyes.
