Herb Paris, Einbeere in German. The first time I’ve seen one in the wild. In elementary school we’ve been warned exceedingly about the deadly poison of these berries. Now I read up on them and they are actually not that dangerous. No human deaths have been accounted to them yet and there are multiple records of children eating some of them. The results were “very grave, but not lethal”. The taste is described as repulsive. They are also completely full of seeds and not like blueberries at all inside. You’d notice immediately if you’d put one of them into your mouth. They can be extremely dangerous to dogs, though.
