Landscape - From the Tearooms of Mars / Kraftwerk . Computer World (747 Cassettes, Saudi Arabia) 6839
Back in the halcyon days of synth-pop it was often hard to tell which bands would be seen as enduring pioneers of the genre, especially in pre-internet Saudi Arabia.
Which is evidently what happened when "Einstein A Go-Go" one-hit wonders Landscape (okay, they also scraped a number 40 placing with the Anthony Perkins-inspired follow-up "Norman Bates" but that's a mere technicality) seemingly wrestled with Kraftwerk for top billing on this 2-for-one cassette and actually won... although not on the spine, where the Landscape lads were relegated to second fiddle.
However Landscape would later have their revenge on Ralf, Florian, Emil and Karl by having one of their members write the theme tune to The Bill.
