Hit a small bump in the road today.
Genna, a girl that I've been good friends with for 12 years, is in need for a rocket project group. I honestly thought she was going to situate herself with the usual group of her, Bea, Sam and Melissa, but guess not this time... Which oddly caught me by surprise.
It was Break time and Ysabella, Janel and I were all at our usual break time spot, outside the art room by the vending machines, and here comes the lovely, usually frantic Genna asking if we knew any groups open. For most part we thought about the idea of adding another person to the group, and every chance that we got, we talked among ourselves about all the pros and cons of adding to our already satisfactory group. It's not that we are being exclusive or any nonsense like that, its more of a "we should know our limits and set everything straight without adding any other difficulties" type of thing, just to prevent future hassles. We are still thinking hard about it... we'll see.
And Proposals due on Friday (May 4)... I don't know how we're going to pull everything together in such a little amount of time considering all three of us have to prepare for the SAT's this weekend along with the School Dance along with conditioning after school AND other school related responsibilities. Being a well-rounded student is though. But being humble is even tougher I guess.

So I’m guessing it’s official. The Rocket Project will consist of Ysabella, Janel and yours truly. I’m excited. Lately, there had been a couple of other offers from other people to join… but it didn’t really seem to fit, you know? But I’m guessing we all want this project to go as smoothly as possible. No drama. No tension. No fighting. None of that. I bet you ten bucks that we all get enough of that on our own personal time… and one can only handle so much. Luckily in our group of three we all know our strengths and weaknesses and there hasn’t been much cattiness between all of us in prior experiences. Sadly, I have this bad feeling that I just jinxed this all. Darn.

So…. Today the Rocket Project came up again during lunch. Turns out I’m a really good writer when it comes to journal entries. I’m extremely glad to hear that I’m going into this project with an open mind alongside two other gals with a sense of humor.

Today is officially the start of something new, something wonderful, and something stressful.
As I sat in my desk with the usual head down and the usual Mr. Talley talking over all the other occurring small conversations… it pretty much was a typical Monday afternoon. Everyone looked drained and you could feel everyone’s yearning for the clock to strike 3, I honestly hoped that in that one History class we’d just end up continuing our film about WWII and I could continue a well deserved nap. But, like all the other usual ideas that speculate in my mind this didn’t come true… (figures). Instead Mr. Talley without a grand introduction proclaimed two very familiar words that made me cringe in my seat. “Rocket Project”.
I have yet to embrace the concept of work, work and more work on top of all my other work, work and other work. I find myself thinking that I have a small advantage knowing little about this infamous project from my past siblings’ experiences. I’m a bit intimidated, and it’s only day one… Luckily Janel, Ysabellla and I unanimously agreed to forming a group with one another (And I pray to God that nothing bad will happen considering all of our patience will be tested). I believe we’re thinking about expanding… Maybe. MAYBE. We’ve got to keep in mind everything the future has in store for us gals.
