In a far far far far far post away (one or two month?) i told you i was working on environement.... I can now show you some screenshots (from the software, not the phone) of the prototype lvl we are building :) the game has a little bit changed, dong a full castlevania like is too hard for the moment, but we keep it in our mind. We just have the same gameplay, and the same kind of game, but we will progress in few maps (or levels as an angrybird like), and we will have some goals to reach, like save the grand’ma, or rescue the 3 little pigs (an others....), plus some secret itemps hide in the level. For the demo it’s enough i think, but for the final game we will add more features (crast, buy stuff and upgrades skills, ...) Anyway, you can see many elements like flowers, stones, bushes, trees,.... all are independent and can be placed where you want (as a layer in photoshop), so you can build your own forest, your own bushes with flowers (blue, whites....) without usind many ressources. There is no shaders for the moment, it will “eat” many ressources, so if we use shaders we have to setup them really really good. some shines will be really goods, some fireflies can add pretty nice effects, some leaf falling can be a good idea.... see? we can add more things, but for the moment that’s not a priority. We have here the shape of the environement. There is no monster here right now. We test them in other scenes, and will put them soon (bug fix). so it’s a little “dead” for the moment. Hi people!!! I know, as other posts, i took many years to put something here^^’ Demo will be playable en of January. It’s in few weeks :D So i can show you this monster, the little harassing bat i made. She will sleep in cave, and trigger when you will be near her. Then, it’s nightmare harass time :D We were trying to have something near castlevania’s bats, but we saw bats only move in front of the player then leave the screen. We were not satisfied about that, cuz you can easy ignore them. So we decided to change this to an harassing bat, who target you, and follow you until you leave the area or until you kill her. So you have to take care about this monster. It’s more interesting for the gameplay in our opinion. Anyway, it can change again for the final game ;)
HEY! A long time, i know^^ It still not a habit to post some wip sry :s Anyway, This time you can see some research for a Counter Hit phase . We are trying to include a def and a counter system in our project. That’s not easy for some aspect of the gameplay, but we think it will be a good thing :) So, you can counter with all your differents weapons (with a special animation for each^^), and here you can see... a sort of magic circle^^ What’s that? our new weapon, but i will only let you with this “teasing” for the moment^^ will present it later.
You can also see a gif, with the def phase. If you def on the right timming (frames with glow) you will counter your foe :D
The last one, a “concept” of one part of the 1st tale :) i have about 6 differents “biomes” for the 1st tale, will post the others soon :) This one is the forest where you will progress an found other biomes (like the bone graveyard....).
Anyway, don’t worry if i don’t post something each week, we are still working on, and it progress step by step^^ I just wanted today to show some stuff (nothing insane or special, we keep our secrets inside our heads è.é), and i hope you enjoy them^^ see ya soon buddies <3
