Eismayer is a beautiful queer movie from Austria that I can't recommend highly enough. It tells the story of a widely feared, hard-ass (and closeted gay) army drill instructor who falls in love with one of his (openly gay) recruits. It's based on a true story and it has a happy ending.

(This trailer has English subtitles but the original language is German. I don't know if there's a dubbed version or where it can be streamed internationally. But if you can find it somewhere, give it a shot. I promise it's worth it.)
