Call Me By Your Name /./ [Simber]

So, it was prom season again! One of Simba’s favourite times of year. He loved prom, obviously. He was the one who had petitioned to have it created for the adults every year and everyone loved it! There was more to it than that, though, because it was also around Ber’s birthday, so there was double reason to celebrate. Also, because it was around Ber’s birthday meant it was around the anniversary of Simba asking Ber to marry him (which, yes, according to Simba, was a reason to celebrate.)
Maybe the best part, though, was that Simba got to create a promposal for Ber. These were usually just for the two of them, but they were always a good reason to do something nice for his husband. Simba liked big and flashy and public, but Ber didn’t, so, Simba did big and flashy and at home.
He was excited now, though also a bit nervous. Had no idea how this one was going to come off. (Ha. Pun.)
Simba stood in the kitchen, staring at the empty kitchen chair that he’d put in the middle of the floor. The lights were down low. There were rose petals scattered around it and candles lit. The dogs were upstairs so they didn’t get in the way. Ashlee was already in her room for the night...hopefully she didn’t need water, lol. It was a bit late anyway, Ber had gone out for drinks with a few mates. (Simba was a bit jealous. He could use a drink. No, no. That would kill the mood. Plus, Simba knew things hadn’t exactly been easy the last few weeks, so--this was part apology. At least, that’s what Simba hoped Ber thought it was at first, so he wouldn’t spoil the surprise for himself. So, he’d just been snacking on salt and vinegar crisps, which, in hindsight, probably not the best choice.)
When the front door opened, Simba perked up.
“Babe?” he called, appearing in the doorway between the kitchen and the living room. His eyes sparked. “I’ve got a surprise for you!”
