The Muppets Take the Marvel Universe Comic Celebrates The Muppet Show's 50th Anniversary

The Muppets are crossing over into the Marvel Universe to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The Muppet Show. In addition to the celebratory one-shot The Muppets Take the Marvel Universe #1, expect more Muppet variant covers across various Marvel comic book titles.

The Muppets Take the Marvel Universe #1 will feature a host of stories including:

Chip Zdarsky and Pete Woods' tale in which Mojo kidnaps Rowlf the Dog in order to force Rowlf to help launch a new streaming service. Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Wolverine, Emma Frost and more team up to rescue Rowlf.

Kyle Starks and Mike Henderson's story where Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker invite Bruce Banner and Hank Pym to Muppet Labs for an experiment with Gamma Rays and Pym Particles.

Ashley Allen and Paco Medina's tale where Clea falls ill and Doctor Strange is helpless to find a cure. Luckily, the Swedish Chef saves the day.

MacKenzie Cadenhead and David Baldeon's story in which the Pigs in Space - Captain Link Hogthrob, First Mate Piggy, and Dr. Julius Strangepork - crash into Rocket Raccoon and Groot.

The Muppets Take the Marvel Universe #1 goes on sale on September 23, 2026. The main cover is by Nick Bradshaw with variant covers by Humberto Ramos and Ron Lim, a Muppet Treasure Island 30th Anniversary cover by Matteo Lolli, and a Logo Mashup variant cover.
