A while back I was refining my backstory for my Foggernaut character and wondered about the Foggernaut unit assembly process. It feels like there would be a lot of customization potential for Foggers, and then it lead to an idea I discussed with @british-hero about elite military units designed after other classes and even legendary heroes.

This lead to me wanting to design a Foggernaut based on Goultard and, since I’d started reading the Dofus Manga and playing Krosmaga, I quickly began sketching alternate variations of the ingame sprites (still a little sad there aren’t a Lily and Dodge in Krosmaga, but I made due with a basic Eniripsa and Ecaflip design). So here we go, Foggernaut Doppelgangers of Goultard, Arty, Lily, Dodge and Ejipe, each specializing in a type of combat and upgraded to be superior to the original (Although Artynaut is definitely in disadvantage since he can’t change into a kaiju sized dragon).

Five seconds after Lily leaves the boys on their own.

Needed an excuse to draw the Dofus Gang and here it is. I confess I’m not overly fond of Goultard’s Manga design, but made a compromise. I also wanted to do Arty’s more draconic form because I honestly love his dragon form but it wouldn’t be a fair fight. Out of the 5 of them, Bilby was my favourite to draw.

Dodge and Ejipe are two of the best characters from the Dofus Manga and I’m honestly a little sad there’s not much content with the two (Ejipe is nearly non-existent in the entire fandom and I’ve recently found out his english name, which I absolutely loathe). As such I thought the best way to show my appreciation was do a Draw the Squad with them to test the feel of their designs. Dodge’s lack of a tail gave me pause since male Ecaflips usually have longer tails. That either meant he lost his tail to terrible luck, or he tucks it in his trousers, and I much prefer the lather idea because tails are neat! With Ejipe coloring was a nightmare. There’s so little content with him colored besides the covers that I can’t even tell what skin-tone he has! I decided to say fuck it and have him a tanned tone to contrast all the black and white he wears. His helmet hides his face anyway so who knows...

All issues aside, these two are fun! I need to draw them again!
