“So, here we are.” Vince looked around the area before rolling his eyes when they looked at Madame, “Aaand you are already in your bathing suit. We’re not even near the hot springs yet!”
Vivienne just waved him off, gently slapping his shoulder before adjusting the grip on the parasol over her shoulder, “I am still wearing my skirt you silly. Besides, it’s too hot to wear my entire ensemble out here. The heat plus hot springs? Why don’t we just go down to the lake!”
“You wanted hot springs.”
“I changed my mind!” she reached up and poked his cheek, “I don’t want you looking like a lobster before we go up the mountains! That’ll be too much pain for either of us.”
“You’re so thoughtful.” Vince rolled his eyes again, looking around.
“I am, I even bought enough sunscreen for both of us.” She looked up at Vince, raising an eyebrow, “You’re scoping more than usual. What are you looking for?”
Vince immediately snapped back, “Nothing, it’s just a new place, and I’m trying to think about how we’re going to get up into the mountains safely. We may need to get more supplies.”
Viv gave him a ‘really?’ look before breaking out into a grin, “Wait a minute here, you’re looking for the mayor!”
A small blush crossed Vince’s cheeks, “What? No, don’t be ridiculous.”
“You aaare.” Viv rested her head on his shoulder, waggling her eyebrows, “I knew there was a reason you wanted to walk around the city first.”
“Shut up. You know I can still go home.”
“I also know you won’t.” she gently poked his arm, “What, are you just gonna stare if you see him?”
“Well...I hadn’t planned that far.” he rubbed his arm.
“What? It’s no fun to just stare you know. At least say hi! I hear he’s pretty friendly. Maybe you can even strike up a little conversation,” she gave him a gentle hip bump.
“You have too much faith in me, really.”
“Hey, just in case, a cat’s always a good conversation starter. Though maybe I’ll say hi too if we see him, or any kind of cutie,” she tapped her chin before grinning.
“I knew there was a reason you agreed to walk about the city with me.” Vince smirked, “Then again, you go around any city.”
“I just like people watching in general.” she smiled.
