Harbon was not used to being in police facilities, and her usual swagger was drained- in fact, she almost felt awkward, looking around the HQ at the people in uniforms and professional clothing. They all looked like they belonged in a place for justice and peace and....whatever.
Harbon, with her neon green hair, black hoodie and skinny jeans, did not.
Still, she couldn’t hesitate any longer, not when she really needed something more secure than a shoddy freelancing business (and honestly, not many people trusted a nineteen-year-old, delinquent-looking-ass kid with their private investigating issues nowadays) and a knack for pickpocketing (seriously, she was trying to keep the lawbreaking to a minimum, thank you very much).
Finally, her eyes landed on somebody in particular- while he looked just as stodgy as the adults in the building, he was most certainly not an adult, and that made him slightly easier to approach for questioning.
『 Hey, uh, you there.....sir. 』
It was hard being polite, especially to somebody who didn’t look much older than Harbon herself, if at all.
『 Ya think you could tell me how to, uh, sign up for work here? I’m kinda new to the island and I.....I’m lookin’ to work. For the police or somethin’. Doing things. And stuff. 』
......
『 Stuff an’ things. 』
