Railway modifies the Ekta Nagar-Ahmedabad Heritage Train price structure
The Heritage Special train's fare charge guidelines for the Ahmedabad-Ekta Nagar-Ahmedabad route were released today by the Ministry of Railways.
The Executive AC Chair Car (EC class) of the Heritage Special train will have the same basic fare as the current Executive AC Chair Car (EC class) of Shatabdi Express trains, per the Ministry of Railways' circular.
Additional fees that apply to the EC class, such as reservation costs, superfast train surcharges, goods and service tax, etc., will be charged individually.
EC class kid fare regulations will be in effect. Tickets against free complimentary passes that are not fully repaid and concessional tickets are not permitted on this train.
On this train, reservations made in relation to passes provided to MPs, Rail Travel Coupons (RTCs) issued to MLAs/MLCs, warrants, etc., for which travel expenses are fully covered, may be made.
Railway personnel shall be eligible for Privilege Pass, PTO, Duty Pass, and other passes on the same basis as those in the Executive class of Shatabdi trains.
The standard cancellation and refund policies that apply to the Executive class will be implemented in accordance with the new regulations.
In October of last year, Western Railway debuted this train, which featured steam engine locomotives. Every Sunday, this train runs. This train leaves Ahmedabad at 06:10 in the morning and arrives at Ekta Nagar at 9:50 in the morning. It's interesting to note that this train offers an alternative route between Vadodara and Ahmedabad. It stops for five minutes at Vadodara Junction at 8:18 p.m. Travel time to go to Ekta Nagar from Ahmedabad is about three hours and forty minutes.
