Sometimes I think something is too stupid to happen, and then I remember that a reality television star with no qualification whatsoever is President of the United States. His entire persona was built around being an over-the-top preposterous bafoon, but somewhere along the line a huge portion of the audience somehow missed that and actually thought he was a somehow an impressive figure. It’s like how people think Chuck Norris jokes are actually about how cool Chuck Norris is.... they weren’t... they were sarcastic.  But people somehow missed that and it got accepted that Chuck Norris of all people is somehow cool.
