i hate those "tim drake would hate taylor swift" headcanons, and then they make him listen to chappell roan... sigh. i've already said this on twitter, but i'm tired of you guys always focusing on the batfamily only listening to white pop girls. i think most of them wouldn't even listen to pop that much, to be honest! so i decided to do this...

PERFECT LIST OF BATFAMILY HEADCANONS: Musical Taste Edition!

(these are headcanons, i don't hate pop nor do i love it. it's okay to like it, and i don't have a problem with you or pop artists. please let that be clear. thank you.)

bruce wayne: pretentious dude who loves jazz, classical music, and opera... but he secretly loves disco music from the '70s and '80s! (alfred used to listen to it all day when bruce was a child, and he just gradually started to like it) change my mind.

dick grayson: also a lover of disco music! actually, anything he can dance to, and yes, that includes k-pop and salsa. probably the guy who listens to all types of music as long as he can dance to it, and that's alright. he also loves musicals!

jason todd: punk rock, grunge, and old rap songs. mostly what you'd expect from him, but he also likes doing karaoke with k-pop songs.

tim drake: indie, alternative rock, and some emo songs! you know what i'm talking about... hehe, my chemical roman— (gets hit by an anvil)

cassandra cain: sometimes musicals, but she generally enjoys music with no lyrics more. still! when she listens to music with lyrics, it's usually country, folk, and rock... do you know what band fits that? YES, IT'S THE CRANE WIV—

damian wayne: the kind of guy to search on youtube "classical music to listen to while you study," but he also likes listening to j-rock.

stephanie brown: remember when i said most of the batfam wouldn't even listen to pop that much? yeah well... steph is a white pop 2000s & 90s girlie! do i have to explain this...? this chick listens to britney spears, lady gaga, avril lavigne, and sometimes paramore!

duke thomas: hip-hop and r&b. he has the best taste out of everyone. not much to say here, he's too perfect!

barbara gordon: spanish-language music lives in her head 24/7—think salsa, bachata, latin pop, tango, samba, bossa nova, latin rock, and sometimes (just sometimes) regional mexican music and reggaeton. (this is totally true and not because i'm latina and i love most of these genres, no, no, why would i do that?)

that's most of the musical taste headcanons i have for the moment… but i would really appreciate someone else sharing their opinions! probably would do a part 2 for the batfam members i forgot, lol.

mikenessa/schmelly is amazing because the movie version it's really cute and peak and awesome and the game version it's so funny because they have like a 40 year age gap + michael is probably dead + they've never met. Oh how I love the diversity of FNAF media

feeling nostalgic again (oh wow who would've though) for security breach. I just found an old playlist about moon and oh my goddddd.

security breach hits harder to me because I was like ACTIVELY in the fandom with other people, getting excited for the lore and stuff, feeling GOOD in the times I was suffering the most from my social anxiety. that, right there, is something I love about this dumbfuck community.

I absolutely LOVE fnaf with all my heart. it has meant the WORLD to me since I was a kid alongside minecraft (which I also adore with all my heart) and I don't think I want to let go of the security breach hype EVER, it felt so beautiful being in a community from my childhood back then again and it feels awesome to still be a part of this community.

I used to be ashamed of these stuff because it was 'cringe', and honestly I now just see freedom. I don't lose out of my sight the things I love, even if that's cringe for a group of people, I don't care, I'll never care: I want to be cringe, I want to be free, I want to care and I want to yearn, I want to love and I want to feel good.

so, yeah, if being cringe implies enjoying things you love, so be it! be cringe!

I think the characterization for mike would've worked better if he and vanessa had actual good dialogue. I genuinely don't believe in the conflict between them because it's just a poorly developed plot point that doesn't serve any of the characters involved. but y'know I would say that about every single part of the movie.

I actually don't know what to think about freddy carter possibly being michael bc it's honestly kinda weird. like do they have one mike to ship vanessa with and the other one is an absolute loser or what 😭😭😭

the hairstyle pisses me off the most if I'm being honest.

I kinda like and dislike at the same time the fact that michael is the most nothingburger character ever in FNAF and I don't want to be overjudgemental but... I don't know if I'll like this version of mike so I wish people don't just put movie michael's personality into game michael's (for me that applies for everything in FNAF external media to the games tbh but yknow).

at least he's british unlike movie william. and even though I love matthew lillard as william with my whole heart, there's just something about pj heywood's voice acting that makes game william so special to me because of his britishness.

also if this michael is an actual afton then why the fuck william has american accent? maybe because it's a facade? idk. but then why vanessa has an american accent? is michael actually his stepson???? what????? why?????????

also someone on twitter just said it but... freddy carter would be so much more interesting as sammy emily. Im just saying. Im just throwing ideas into the abyss. gracefully if you will.

in terms of looks I don't really care tbh, just that michael afton is literally an everyman so hes just some average white boy. it's just that fuckass hairstyle I hate. michael has always looked a little bit like leon kennedy to me (with that I mean that he naturally gives off loser vibes).
