If pre-accident El (who had their memories of MC) could somehow see what their mother would do to the MC in the future and the lengths she would go to to keep them apart, how would they feel/react?
Honestly, El would cut contact immediately. They won't try to understand if MC confirms it. They won't wait for explanations from their mother.
As stated in a previous ask a while ago, El is usually very gentle, kind, playful, and yeah, they're pretty high-maintenance. But they can be cold when it comes to MC.
El has always been the kind of person people call a 'fool', because their lover is always their top priority. They're building a life and a possible family with MC, they'll potentially have kids with MC. So yes, they will feel saddened. They will cry a lot too. But they won't regret anything.
Ok kinda stolen ask I've seen around a few other IF's but I am super curious...what if MC ordered something for their RO, like something they saw online and thought their RO would like (feel free to input a specific item that the RO would like into the response), and on the day the package arrives, MC is busy with dishes or something and asks the RO to open the package saying it's "something they saw while shopping and thought of the RO". However, unknown to MC, there was a mix-up and instead of the item MC ordered being in the box there is a bejeweled dog collar and leash. Upon opening the package, how would each RO (including Elias) react?
Also if you're feeling extra generous, I think it would be hilarious to see both the T & Ekissa + El & Ekissa polys reactions as well.
Love this IF and Athiel lives rent free in my head so thank you.
omg, I kept telling myself I had to spare some time for this one and kept forgetting x)) (I didn't add the Elissa v-poly reaction because I want to first familiarize myself with their v-poly route before writing any scenarios)
Enjoy!
Travis/Tracee: They freeze, staring at the items with rapt focus. If you wanted to try something new, they hadn't heard of it. Though, perhaps it's a surprise you wanted to make and apparently failed since they currently have their eyes on it.
Their gaze drags to the kitchen, where you're still washing the dishes before flickering back to the collar and leash. They do something they shouldn't have done. They picture you with it, then picture themself with it, then positions flash in their mind—
They release a shaky breath, their ears burning. All they can say, without knowing the package isn't yours, is: "While I appreciate the offer, I think we should get something professional."
"Why? Don't like it?" you ask, still busy.
They blink at the items. Well, they don't dislike it, per se, they're just trying to guess who is supposed to wear it and how far this new experience would go.
Their whole body warms up with each passing second. Exploring was never a problem for them, especially not with you. You could be asking them to crawl behind you in the neighborhood, and they'd tell you when. That's how far they'd go for you.
"I have no objection."
Ekissa: Ekissa's brows shoot up in surprise the second they open the package. Well, they didn't expect this, that's for damn sure. The collar glints when it catches the light and it compels them to take a closer look.
"We're getting into bdsm or somethin'?" they ask bluntly, squinting their eyes as a multitude of scenarios cross their mind. None of them innocent.
"Shit, look at this leash," they get distracted by the other item and grab it as they throw the collar somewhere on the couch. A smirk touches their lips, eying the leash with barely concealed curiosity.
"A what?"
"A leash, sweetheart," Ekissa repeats, a low chuckle following their response. They don't wait for an answer from you to join you back in the kitchen, quickly grabbing the collar on their way with both items raised in the air for you to see. "So... When do I get this around your neck?"
You arch a brow. "That's not what I ordered, and who said I'd be the one wearing it?"
They close the distance, palms finding your sides and their body brushing yours as your breaths mingle. "Don't want to?"
Athiel: What is wrong with you?
That's the first thought popping up the second Athiel opens the package only to see a leash and a collar. The first reaction is their eyes narrowing at the items.... along with the bright blush burning their whole face.
Maybe they're reading this wrong. Maybe it's your way of asking for a dog. Their mind absolutely didn't wander to them on their knees wearing the collar while the leash is tugged by you or anything. If someone wears it, it should be you anyway. They've always been the one in charge......?
Their thoughts are fusing and messing with their head. The more they think about that stupid collar and that stupid leash, the more they feel like they might as well burn from embarrassment and something else they'll never admit.
"What is wrong with you?" they voice their thoughts, their voice betraying them—high-pitched, breathy and shaky.
"What?" you ask, still busy in the kitchen, confused. "You don't like it?"
"Don't like it?" they scoff loudly, swallowing thickly as they think hard about what those items mean. "I... I'll need time to think."
You frown, unaware of the inner battle they're having right now. "....Okay?"
Luna/Leon: Maybe they should get something better, this one looks a bit too stiff and if they're the one wearing it, might as well be a minimum comfortable.
They opened the package a few minutes ago, and since then, they've been contemplating what they saw inside. While both items are no doubt an interesting development, they'd rather get the best kind of collar and leash. Especially if you're the one wearing it, their darling has to have only the best, after all.
"Do you like it?" they hear you say from the kitchen, and they realize they got lost in thought.
With a pleased, charming smile, they join you in the kitchen, leaving the items in the box. Wrapping their arms around you, chest pressed against back, they murmur teasingly, "I love it. Is it for me? Do you have a little outfit with it for me? Or a position in mind, me on my knees while you play with me?"
Seeing the confusion on your face, they clarify. "The leash and collar, darling," L hums, pulling away to stand beside you and get a proper look at your face. Their eyes travel across your features, drinking in the sight. "Just tell me how, when and where you want it, and I'm your man/woman."
A laugh leaving your lips makes their skin tingle. "What? No, I never ordered any collar. Maybe they got the wrong address or something?"
Their dimple deepens as their smile widens, their eyebrows raised in a barely veiled suggestion. "I can still wear one, though."
Elias/Ellie: "Baby," El calls out with a blush blooming across their features, which clearly has no intention of fading anytime soon. Not with their imagination running wilder by the second at the simple sight of the collar and leash. "I think we should talk?"
"Mh? Why? You don't like it?"
"Oh, um," El chuckles breathlessly, their cheeks burning brighter against their pale skin. Their gaze still fixed on the items, they swallow hard. Would they mind having a collar around their neck? No. It's no news El can be... pretty submissive when it comes to this department. They'd just rather confirm you really bought this. "I... I wouldn't say I don't like it. It's just not what I expected."
A moment later, they feel the warmth of your body pressing against their side and they reflexively take your hand, interlacing your fingers together. "See what I mean?" they grin at you, the red of their face still very present.
"What the... I never ordered this," you announce with a few rapid blinks. Then, with a curious lilt. "But it'd look pretty on you. Just saying."
El's mouth opens in surprise as they gasp and bump your shoulder with theirs in half-hearted reprimand. "Oh my god, don't start, I'm already embarrassed."
"That's a no for trying, then?"
They hide their flustered face against your shoulder. "That's a yes if you ask nicely."
Teki v-poly: Ekissa is having a blast right now. It only sufficed to open a simple package for T to be rendered speechless and 'error' written all over their face. "It's just a collar and a leash, bud," they snort, waving a hand dismissively as they tilt their head with curiosity. "Who do you think it's for? $name or you?"
"I'm impressed you're not counting yourself," T finds their voice again, their brain still having a hard time pushing past the scenarios filling their head in this precise moment. "You're usually pretty competitive about being the first exploring with $name."
Ekissa scrunches their nose, their gaze dropping to the collar nestled in their palm. Them? With a collar? Yeah, no. They usually prefer to be the one in charge and that's not changing anytime soon. Though they never minded giving a bit of control to you. As long as both of you enjoy yourselves, they're not above allowing some change of dynamic.... it's rare but not nonexistent. "The hell I'm letting someone put this around my neck."
"I would." T points out, the red of their ears not going unnoticed as they clear their throat, willing themself to regain a fraction of composure they currently don't have.
"I bet. You're like their pet," Ekissa scoffs, but there's no heat in their tone. "They tell you jump, you say when."
T doesn't deny Ekissa's words. There's nothing to deny and nothing to be ashamed of if they're being honest. "Perhaps," they start, an imperceptible teasing lilt seeping into their tone, "they'll try to tame you."
"Yeah? I'd like to see them try," Ekissa smirks, flickering their obsidian eyes to where you're still busy washing the dishes. "Well, if they wanna try the leash and collar sometime soon, I call dibs."
"Or we could simply wait for them to deci..." T trails off, staring at Ekissa's back where the latter is already joining you.
It's always like this. Ekissa trying to get your time before T can even try. Though it never even comes from jealousy, it never feels like a real, hostile competition. That's probably why T never felt threatened by Ekissa in this relationship.
T sighs, trailing after as they warn Ekissa. "If they agree to anything, try not to exhaust them this time."
I think the worst is knowing that El is not in the right space mentally, overall. I'm not sure if you've tried the route where MC doesn't romance anyone—you have a scene with El in this specific route. It mostly shows how El is faring on their side.
That's my main route! I go that route before all else and yeah, I definitely saw. Juliet is something else 😒 I'm guessing she likely pushed El into modeling, something they seemingly ended up liking but obviously can't do anymore because "beauty standards", which not only leaves them struggling with their self-esteem but also struggling with what to do now because they have no other practical skills. Then there's the lying (and El KNOWS she's lying or at the very least withholding info). And Robin (just - everything with Robin. Your child isn't interested. TAKE THE HINT!!!).
But, that being said, PROPS TO OUR BABY EL FOR STANDING UP FOR THEMSELF 👏👏👏 AND THE SASSSSSSS
Without going into too much detail, all I'll say is that Christmas Dinner 👀 lmao the way I cackled 🤣
Fun fact: In that scene there's a variation for Athiel's route, but I realized too late that this scene is only available on El's route. I kept it anyway, lol
I'm glad you liked this scene! I think it was important for El romancers to see what kind of headspace El is in, and that the reunion won't be all hugs and kisses and 'i missed you/I missed you too'. Though I can't wait to actually write a scene where MC can be like that.
To be honest, more than Emily (and Juliet obv), I can't wait for the convo with Payton and Charlie, like you didn't even make a call in like 9 months?? Even if they supposedly don't know that MC thinks that El is dead, they couldn't spare a call even to yell at MC (if they really thought MC left El)? And if they suspected that something was wrong, they left a "friend" grieve for their lover for all that time? And they call themselves MC's friends too...? Wow, 🤣 I hope MC can ask them if they would understand if MC did the same to them (letting one of them think the other is dead, for months). 🤣🤣 Can't wait for my very controlled, forgiving, sweet MC to twist the knife in their hearts, like they did to them 😈🤣😈🤣
You might need to pick the angry!MC version, then. MC really goes feral in this one. To everyone. Though it's only on Athiel's route.
Hello, Echo. I stole this from other IFs and I’m not sure if you’ve already been asked this, but how would the ROs react to the MC who is completely oblivious to flirtations and dating(relationship stage) the ROs, come to them with 5 drinks in their hands saying "people are so generous they keep giving me drinks for free".
Hi, Emma! Here you go (I forgot about the 'five drinks in their hands' lmao, sorry bout that):
Ekissa:
"You too?" they grunt, the familiar scowl reappearing on their features as they raise their own drink. They gesture to their right. "This one's from that buddy over there."
You follow their gaze, stopping on the same person who offered you a drink just seconds ago, well, according to the waiter who delivered the drink.
You blink. Process. "Really? Same."
"You too?" your best friend's brows rise in mild surprise, their confusion mirroring yours. "I thought they were hitting on me, but maybe it's a special day today."
You glance back at Ekissa with a curious look. "Maybe they're hitting on both of us?"
You and Ekissa exchange a long look, and before either of you can register the potential implications of all these offered drinks, you both start to laugh.
"No way." You say in unison.
T:
T tilts their head, their obsidian eyes tracking your movement as you take your seat next to them. Then, their gaze drops to the drink in your hand. "How generous of them."
But it doesn't answer your question about why people would offer you free drinks. It's not your birthday—though you doubt anyone here would know exactly when that is in the first place.
"I think," T begins under your expectant and curious attention. They work their jaw, looking away and scanning the place while carefully searching for their next words.
"You think?" you prompt through a small, patient smile.
"I think they're treading on thin ice," they offer, reaching out to take your hand, their grip firm but not painful. "And I think I'm disliking this bar. But enjoy your drinks, love. That's all they'll be able to offer."
Athiel:
Athiel's expression sours the second you explain about the free drinks, their eye twitching in annoyance and their lips pursed into a thin line. "Don't they have better things to do than hit on my partner?"
With a bemused look on your face, you chuckle, more confused than amused. "Huh?" you ask eloquently. "Were they hitting on m—"
"Who offered this one?" they cut you off with a huff, nodding to your drink.
You scratch your neck with your free hand for a puzzling moment before gesturing to one of your good samaritans.
The model doesn't waste a second, already making a beeline to the person you gestured at and stopping next to their seat. "Excuse me. Would it hurt you to not be in the same vicinity as my partner? You're a creep, and you're not even their type.
You can only blink as Athiel keeps going. "Keep up with the drinks, and I promise you I'll call the cops and say you're a predator. An ugly one at that."
Your good samaritans disappeared after this.
El:
El squints their eyes at your drink playfully, a pout forming at their lips as they reach out to make you sit next to them. "I think they were hitting on you, baby."
"Huh," you answer, then hum skeptically. "Are you sure?"
But the way El's shoulders tense slightly, their self-consciousness and that insecurity taking over them minutely, tells you they're not messing around.
You nudge their shoulder to regain their attention and raise your drink. "Wanna share? Might as well use them for free drinks."
Their expression softens instantly at your indirect comfort, the tension in their shoulders relaxing as they grin at you. "Yeah. That sounds good."
Yet, when you offer the straw their way, they don't take a sip immediately. Instead, they look at you with those blue agate eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're the best, baby."
L:
"Ah, my darling is popular," L answers lightly, pride dancing in their gray eyes as their hand finds your thigh the second you take back your seat next to them. "I didn't expect any less from you. You're exceptional, after all."
You can't help but smile under their cheesy compliment. "Popular, huh...?"
"Mmh, they're probably trying to get your attention," the CEO nods slowly. When you still blink at them owlishly, they whisper just for you to hear. "They were hitting on you, darling."
"Ahhh," you're the one nodding slowly now. "That's why there were a few folded papers with numbers on them..."
A hearty laugh bubbles out of your lover's chest, fading gradually until all that's left is the dramatic sigh leaving their lips. "I'll have to step up my game."
"Not jealous?"
"Terribly jealous, darling. You'll have to heal my old, little, poor heart with your love."
