General Kenobi smiles at that, stroking his beard. A loose strand of hair flutters slightly in the rush of ventilated air, the rest of it pulled back in a loose knot at the base of his skull. Cody thinks there could be much more efficient ways to tie back the general's hair. It's nothing like his or his vode's hair, much straighter and lighter, so he can't really compare it to the braids that Flora or Cobalt wear. Still, though, there ought to be some way of pulling the general's hair out of his face that doesn't leave loose strands framing the curves of his face. That sort of thing could be distracting.

"Yes, Cody, your opinion. You know this army better than I do, so, in your opinion: would it be worthwhile for us to have a second Jedi? A padawan, just a student, and likely a young one at that, but still another Jedi."

"I'd have to cross-reference existing examples of Jedi with padawans in the field," Cody says, swilling the dregs of his caf in his mug. It's the bland, stale stuff—they've been too long out in the field, away from any resupply, to have any decent caf left—but it's better than nothing. "To the best of my knowledge, General Skywalker was rather... unorthodox, so your past mission reports don't give me very much experience to go off of. Have there been any studies done on efficiency in combat with two Jedi?"

"Not to my knowledge," General Kenobi chuckles, hiding most of his laugh behind his hand. The sleeves of his robe are tied back with a long dark strip of fabric, leaving the tighter sleeves of his top exposed. One sleeve rides up a little at the wrist, revealing a couple of faint freckles. Cody vaguely notes three additional weak spots with the sleeves tied back, just as he's trained to do. "Perhaps we can be the first. All the same, Cody, what do you think?"

Like the two characters in danganronpa that are the ultimate (un)luckys being so heavily tied to hope against despair is definitely not a coincidence

Because it makes so much sense that Nagito BUT ESPECIALLY MAKOTO so easily overcome despair with hope compared to everyone else is because they’ve had to live with their weird ass luck.

I just finished reading The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones and it was so good (complete understatement but I don't have words right now) I put on the new Noah Kahn album and started cleaning while I process and then I just had to log on to tumblr to let you know.
