elani smiled sadly. "they were mine."
made myself sad with this sketch of my oc, elani's mom, ellera nin. as elani says in the quote above, she saw a lot of her mother in shaak ti. they looked quite similar, but, of course, it wasn't the same. elani surrounded herself with people who could be like her family--from ashla to ahsoka and shaak ti. but it always made her sad that she didn't fit in with them. they all had red/orange skin and blue montral markings… she felt out of place. but she dreamt of someone who looked like her. someone who would hold her tight and point out all the features they shared. my skin. my eyes. my diamonds. my baby.
fun fact: i based ellera's face and lekku designs off of old sketches of elani i drew before i got my ipad. i changed the face ones because i thought she looked too much like shaak ti, but with ellera, i decided to incorperate that into her story!
