Hey! Fellow southerner here, have you done a post about swallow-tailed kites yet? They're some of my favorite local raptors and I'd love to see them get a feature. :]
They return every February, and I always eagerly await them!
Swallow-tailed Kites (Elanoides forficatus), family Accipitridae, order Accipitriformes, FL, USA
The North American population breeds along the SE coast of the US, and overwinters in Central and South America.
There is a small disjunct population which also breeds in TX.
