Sensitive to extremes in weather, such a cold evening called for several layers of protection from the biting cold. With his chin tucked beneath the coils of a heavy infinity scarf, Minjae made the nightly trek from the office building back to his residence. On the way, his eyes were drawn to the woman making her way in his direction. Did she need something? She was wearing what he could interpret as a look of concern, prompting him to stop before she made the motion to wipe away at the blood leaking from his nose. Startled by this discovery, Minjae instantly pulled back, whipping out a napkin from his coat pocket.

Shouldn’t you be pacing yourself?” He eyed the drink in her hand, reaching out to take it from her. “Do you want me to come with? I know I’m not the biggest partier but… it’s New Year’s. I don’t want you venturing out alone.”

It was a terrible decision for either Seunghyun or Eleanor to venture the city in the middle of December. They had gone out for about three hours, decided to stop by at some old french bakery only to wait until the snow storm quieted down. Empty cups of coffee and tea decorating their table, a few more empty plates with bread crumbs on top of them indicated the two had spent their time waiting for quite a while. Seunghyun fixated his eyes from the table towards the brunette in front of him, boredom was visibly drawn upon her rather pale face. Her gentle hands were covered by her favorite leather gloves, but they didn’t seem to warm her up, it was clear as she had been rubbing her palms constantly. “We should go somewhere warm. My headquarter is a couple blocks away from here. We can stay there. I can provide you with hot shower and room heater.” he said, standing up. “Let’s get going. This place makes me feel suicidal the longer I stay here.”

They drove through the thick snow using his motorcycle, though deep down he knew he’d regret his action sooner knowing that his baby, Marvel, would get terribly sick because of the striking cold corrupting the engines. Arriving minutes later, he hurried and led the way inside. Ignoring his fellow firefighters teasing him on their way towards his room. He was lucky that his roommates were out on a patrol. That would save him an explanation for bringing a girl to their room. “Go take a hot shower. We’ll take turn.” he smiled, being thoughtful as always. He was numb with cold, but there was no way that he would let her froze while waiting for him to shower first. 

Not long after she locked the door of his small bathroom, he caught a melodic hum followed with such mellifluous voice coming from the bathroom; generating a genuine smile to spread across his lips. He didn’t know what she was singing, hell, he could barely hear the lyrics--due to the sound of dripping water hitting the ceramic floor; but he liked it. He liked it a lot.

they met at octagon and, like with most of the people mina comes across there, she never expected a friendship to blossom. the two girls had a lot more in common then mina originally thought ---- she doesn’t like to be judgmental but, the other’s behavior always led mina to believe that she was just another party girl. 

which, she was --- the other girl loved to party but there was more to her than that. and over time, mina was fortunate enough to get to know eleanor, or as mina liked to call her, len. 

today they had arranged to meet up for lunch and, it was a delicious meal. but mina’s ravenous appetite wasn’t satisfied with the burger she ate, and as she sat at the table with a pout, the other girl noticed and pointed it out.

“are you still hungry?” she asks, and mina looks up from the empty plate she had been staring at, giving the other a grin.

“uh, --- yeah i think i might order something else.. don’t tell anyone though.”

Seul was never quite fond of surprises. She detested the element of surprise, present in birthday gifts and uninvited guests. Frankly, she valued RSVP to an extent a normal person would not. So it was to absolutely nobody’s surprise how the blonde hair on the nape of her neck raised the instant the other woman’s breath transferred from her lips onto her skin. It was cold, yet held the faint scent of a Nat Sherman. 

Seul had hoped for a quiet afternoon at her friend’s cafe lounge, so to work on setting up meetings with the local artists she’d been assigned to. Quiet didn’t seem to quite fit the day’s description as soon as the poised female’s posture tensed up, two hands placed firmly on her shoulders. “Nobody’s after you,” she repeated inside her head, attempting to piece together whose voice belonged to whose visage. As soon as a face clicked with its vocal counterpart, the female scoffed, rolling her pupils in amusement.

“Even if someone was, don’t count on me wasting my vocal chords on shrieking for assistance. Would they even be able to reach the top of my head?” Seul placed her hands over the shorter female’s, removing them from her own shoulders, and turned to face her. 

“Fancy seeing you here, Eleanor,” the woman said, a slight smirk hanging over her lips. “I might have to make you pay for my dry-cleaning now. You don’t smear the stench of cigarette on a Balmain. I’m sure even you know that.”
