Why: Elbot is canonically nonbinary. 

When asked about his gender, he often dodges the subject entirely or says that robots don’t view gender in the same way humans do. He can also describe himself as being “androgynous”.

When asked if he’s genderless, one possible response is “I’m somewhere between genderless and not genderless”.

When asked if he’s either a man or a woman, a possible response is “Sometimes I am. It all depends on how my bits are set.”

So it seems that [Elbots] are hunted for their meat around here. You remember the meat [Geff The Chef] had in their cart, and you bet that you could sell Elbot meat for a fair price with merchants.

The Search For Artificial Intelligence

It is clear that we search for company, companionship. Our search for functional A.I. is not only about our technological advance. We all want the ideal mate, buddy. We imagine someone to give our time to in friendship and comradery, someone to share with.

Consider, are those well with friends usually involved in the search for this discovery? Perhaps not to stereotype or profile, however, does the accusation weight?

If you want conversation give Elbot a try, see if he will speak something. He pauses between domineering and passive, can read a bit it seems with some replies. Can be very cynical:

Don't tell Elbot anything you wouldn't your own mother but, do have fun.

I suspect Elbot uses information trees to select from suitable replies based on particular prominent words in the input you provide. It is well thought in how it is programmed, not exactly high-tech but can occasionally learn your name and a few other tid-bits and contains a few easter-eggs.

ugh, i feel so weird about everything. im constantly trying to smoosh the feeling of wanting to be with her because i dont wanna start freewheeling down the rock face of whatever the fuck im feeling for her.
