#Batman #HolyTerror Written by Alan Brennert & illustrated by #NormBreyfogle The first #Elseworld title and arguably the best one. I remember seeing this on the counter of the bodega on the corner of #ElderAve in the #Bronx and falling in love with the cover art. The elseworld titles were graphic novels and weren’t in the stands with the other comics because they had hard covers are were bigger then regular comics, also they were 5 bucks each. I was cool with the the store owner as I was always in there and he let me grab one and open it up and skim it. After about 4 pages I knew I had to buy it and so I did. Norm’s artwork perfectly capsulated the very dark is undertones of the story. What Norm specialized in (IMO) was making the art “Pop” making the story an experience more then just a read. It remains today as one of my most treasured comics and I have probably read it about a thousand times. Thank you Mr Breyfogle for sharing your gift with this young buck and helping to formulate his young mind.
