I love when characters in the World of Darkness are confidently wrong.

Are they lying? Have they been lied to? How much does it matter?

I feel like sometimes people forget that we as the players have so much more (not necessarily objective) information than our characters do, and in general I feel like NPCs telling lies is viewed as bad through the lense of "ST is lying to the players".

Which feels a bit silly in a world where the "objective truth" is sometimes just impossible to define.
