Hey, elders? I id as a lesbian because I could only ever see myself dating and having sex with a woman, but I tend to fantasise about men even though I'd NEVER do anything with them in real life. I'm wondering if I should id as bisexual in case me id'ing as a lesbian is appropriating lesbianism, but the bisexual label doesn't fit right for me. Could you guys maybe give me a little positivity? I'm a little upset and confused right now. Love you all!!

Price: First of all, the bisexual label should only be used when the person is ENTIRELY comfortable in its use, or are at least 50% sure that’s who they want to be 

Price: Personally, I really don’t think it matters if you’re attracted to men, because if you are ever only going to pursue women then I wouldn’t, you know? You’re only going to get male attention that you don’t want, right?

Price: Labels should be used for personally validation only, don’t worry about what’s ‘technically’ correctly, and, admittedly I can’t speak for lesbians here as I ID as bi (which I do too! xx -OP), but I would confidently say that you aren’t ‘appropriating’ lesbianism at all. 

Price: If you are primarily and absolutely going to be seeking only women, and know that, I’d ID as a lesbian, buddy!
