Based on the fact that it seems no one can quite pin down what she is (I’ve seen moth, salmon, dingo, pigeon, ibis, cicada, wolf, sniffer, llama, and everything in between) Pearl is actually Not Perceivable! Or well, not fully at least? You can see where she is, you have a vague idea of things like her eye color and hair (fur? maybe?) color, and the clothes she’s wearing.
But try to pin down how many limbs she has? Whether her wings are elytra or growing from her back? If that’s her hair style or dog/cat/sniffer ears? It gets a little fuzzy. She’s hard to depict in things like art and statues, at least hard to depict the same way twice, but she just tells people “I’m an artist. I’m meant to paint, not be painted”
at one point she gives in, and has multiple people try to draw her. she keeps the photos in a wallet like family photos and shows them to people who ask about the specifics
