The Powerpuff Girls but they’re Half-Bloods
Brief disclaimer! I’m following the anime lore where they’re not sisters or lab babies. I did think they would all be war/battle demigods though because ultimately they choose to fight the forces of evil in every timeline!
Starting with Blossom, she is the leader and the strategist of the team more often than not. She likes to think before she fights and makes her moves. She’s also the “smart one.” So even if I wasn’t starting with a premise of war gods, I would learn towards Athena.
Buttercup has a tendency to be brash and reckless, going for the knock out before the battle and truly begin and almost always makes the first move. Luckily for her, she has the strength, tenacity, and instinct for this to serve her well. Ares makes great sense for Buttercup with her sporty and brash personality as well.
Finally, Bubbles is hard to place on principle, she would truly do well in any cabin, I even considered if she would be a satyr. Ultimately, I thought of other war gods and remembered Nike. While Bubbles isn’t necessarily the most competitive, the team doesn’t work without her, and their victory is often secured with her presence. She can have a competitive spirit when prompted and many people like her for her encouraging smile. She’s the spirit of the team.
I also have some cool dynamic considerations. Blossom and Buttercup fight and bicker the most, which would be fun and make sense in a Child of Ares vs Child of Athena dynamic. They’re both war, just the different angles of it. Bubbles and Blossom are usually closer/more on the same page in the anime, which would work well woth the Children of Athena/Nike dynamic. Ultimately a war gods team would be a formidable foe, imagine them doing capture the flag at camp.
I am a little in love with this one tbh. Might have to do something with it.
