Thor shifted Torunn in his arms to knock on Darcy’s door. “Now, remember, Papa needs to talk to Darcy too. It’s not going to be all about you.” Torunn gave him an incredulous look, as if to say ‘of course it’s all about me, what is wrong with you?’ “You’re spending too much time with your uncle, aren’t you?”

“Loki?” she asked, her eyes widening hopefully.

“Not today, just Darcy.” Thor knocked again.

It’s way late, but the screaming won’t leave his ears, won’t let his mind rest - every time he closes his eyes, his chest sinks down into his stomach and he can feel himself getting nauseous from the distress. 

And he doesn’t want to wake her, so he knocks softly on the door to her room, and opens it as quietly as he can. 

        “Darce, you awake?”
