My flanger, the Mooer ElecLady!
People often look down on so-called “affordable” pedals. When it comes to guitar you generally get what you pay for, so if you pay for cheap, you get cheap. This is not always the case, however. I got the ElecLady for less than $100 and I honestly feel that I will never need another flanger! The ElecLady is a clone of the old Electro-Harmonix Electric Mistress flanger, used by such legends as David Gilmour and Andy Summers. Current forms of the Electric Mistress issued by EHX just don’t seem to capture the same feel of the original models, so Mooer decided to make a clone of the original. I generally use it in the settings above, for a fast, noticeable, but not overly dominating flanger tone. On the rare occasion that I decide to play Van Halen, all I do is pull the rate back to about 11 o’clock. All in all, this is a very good and versatile flanger, especially for the price!
