So...I’m just kinda just numb with regards to my parents right now.

My mom and dad actually stayed up for Trump’s speech (which is abnormal, especially for my mom, who goes to bed pretty early), and mom came in after the speech while I was listening to the debrief from TYT, and had a fucking smile on her face...

She went on about how it was such a powerful speech, and then tried to appeal to me with “he supports the LGBT community” and I’m thinking, how did you know just see that as a fucking ploy to try and gain my support?

It’s not support to say, Hey! this group hates you more than we do! and We’re gonna get them!

That’s not support. And if he really supported the LGBT community, why would Mike Pence be his fucking VP? and why would the Republican platform be the most anti-gay, anti-LGBT in history?

Also, even if he and the fucking platform did support the LGBT community (which is a fever dream with regards to the current Republican party), I still don’t see how the blatant xenophobia and fear mongering weren’t sickening. I can never, ever vote for him.

I just wasn’t expecting them to support him. They were always talking about how he wasn’t great and they didn’t like him, but I guess that’s gone. Not looking forward to living with my parents this election season...
