Pounce: I’ll make it up to you, Lecky, I promise. Listen, if there’s ever a night where you can’t sleep, I’ll come to your room and sing “Kumbaya.”
Electra: Pounce, I don’t know what to say. Yes, I do.
Electra: Don’t ever do that.
The cast of the 2020 Asia tour introducing themselves to the stage crew on their first day in the theatre! Left to right: Dan Partridge as Tugger, Jal Joshua as Carbucketty, Anina Pletscher as Electra, Thomas Inge as Admetus, Holly Willock as Jemima, Tyler Lotzof as Victoria, and Xavier Pellin making a lovely cryptid Mistoffelees effect with his stubbly chin.
Protector Bomba and Skimbledad! Two great tastes that go perfectly together.
During the second Macavity scare - if you look closely in the bottom right of the first gif, you can see Alex Snova's Admetus cowering and nicely framed by some junk at the foot of the stage. So no blame can be attached to him this time!
Vienna revival, 19 June 2022. Birgit Arquin as Bombalurina, Gerben Grimmius as Skimbleshanks, Tommie Luyben as Carbuckety, Susannah Murphy as Electra, and Denise Jastraunig as Jellylorum. Filmed by @falasta.
new electra parental headcanon!
... which involves acquiring this thing as a brother.
Kayleigh Thadani as Electra, with Joel Cooper as Carbuckety, Lydia Gerrard as Grizabella, and Philip Bertioli as Skimbleshanks.
2022 international tour, heading into their final week on 22 February 2023.
kittens!
Emily Casey as Cassandra, Mukeni Nel as Carbuckety, George Hankers as Mungojerrie, Rafe Watts as Munkustrap...
... Anina Pletscher as Electra, plus Mukeni again...
... and Anina covering Victoria! Plus Xavier Pellin's back, as Mistoffelees.
Photographs by Hayden Baum (Skimbleshanks) in the Asia tour, throughout February 2022 (X). The photo of Anina as Victoria must be the 18th or 19th of February, since those are the only dates so far on which she's covered Victoria.
everybody! I have a very important announcement!
You know how 2021 US tour Skimbledots (Chris Salvaggio and Michelle Carter) refer to each other as 'work wife/husband'?
Well, guess who else does.
Kelly Donah and Max Craven! (Over domestic shopping lists, no less.)
US tour Mungoteazer confirmed!
Also, incidentally, it's not just US tour Skimbledots: there's a pattern throughout the whole of the Broadway revival and subsequent tour(s) of the 'canon couples' referring to each other this way. Skimbledots is the big one for husband/wifing each other, and Demestrap does it a bit too—I particularly remember Dan Hoy (2019 Munk) saying that for each of his Demeters. Platoria is another major canon couple, though since it's more of a budding romance they don't tend to use marriage words so much.
With that background, 'work husband' implies that Mungoteazer has a similar canonical status as Demestrap and (particularly) Skimbledots: they are an established couple within the timeline of the show, and the actors probably get that as a direction when creating their characters.
And just for fun: Aaron Albano (swing then Skimbleshanks on Broadway) listed three tracks as his 'couple tracks' with fellow swing Francesca Granell: Mungoteazer, Skimbledots, and Pouncilectra.
(Masterpost of relationships in this production here.)
Pouncival: surgery is just like stabbing people to life
Electra: please never become a surgeon
