I like how you think and quite honestly that sounds much better than what I would have done. As you said once your insulin runs out you won't have long. That being said anyone that needs to take medicine to stay healthy or to live and anyone that is disabled are gonna have a hard time surviving and that would most likely mean they'll die early on. Your idea to set up camps and start communities is great and while it can be risky staying in one spot for a while, the numbers you gather will be very useful. Communities may run the risk of being overrun, attacked, or put in the hands of a bad leader but if the communities you make can communicate to one another, you and anyone else your friends take in will be as safe as you can be in a apocalypse. As for me personally I would choose to stay moving for the simple fact that I think it's safer for me and whatever group I may be in. I will help out if I have the resources and help out communites such as the ones you make so I can gain an ally and have the help if ever needed. Avoiding cities, schools, towns and neighborhoods would be best since there are more zombies in those areas as well as survivors with too many places to hide and trap us. I most likely wouldn't have my family since most need meds or live far away, so I would try and help lead my group. I want to stay alive because I may be the person to motivate others to keep fighting as well, and those may inspire others.
I want to be the person who gives an example of what to live by, ya know? Be an example of how to live and survive and go down a beloved legend even if to a few in a community. I want to motivate and teach others, inspire and encourage, and share whatever wisdom is needed.
