         HE’S GETTING BETTER at this ghost thing, he thinks. it’s only taken him like . . . four years, but hey! being dead was HARD and energy wasn’t exactly the easiest thing to figure out, especially when you consider he was a fucking skeptic up until his death. now, however, he can slam doors and turn the lights on and off ---- he can also move objects around the floor, which was all in good humor. he’s never hurt anyone --- not THAT kind of ghoul. today, he was experimenting with his energy levels and flashed all the lights off and back on five times in the span of two minutes inside the apartment building. people weren’t all that pleased and he GRINNED, though it was a little wearing. he was tired. he holds his hands up in the air with a grin when he sees her, albeit he’s clearly exhausted and he knows she can see him ---- he’s getting better at that, too. “ hey did you see that? that was WILD !! ”

“I’ll be fine, Kisa--I promise.” Aurora sighed, sitting on the edge of her bed. Winter break had come and this time--she wasn’t leaving the school. Aurora was grateful for it. She was tired of all the dramatics of the year, and she certainly was going to make it worse by going home to her parents. “I’m not going to be alone! Herc’s staying with me!” Most of all, Aurora was happy for the time alone with Hercules after their brief split.

“--I’m going to have to stop you there,” Charles says firmly, freezing the younger mutant before she can lean in properly to kiss him. “Kisa, I am your teacher.” He doesn’t sound angry, only stern- adult or not, and whatever her intentions, Charles isn’t about to allow it.

“Yes, well, I remember saying that a month ago and look where I am now,” shrugged Charles as he poured himself another glass of Whiskey. What glass was he on again?… It completely slipped his mind. Probably somewhere in the early double digits. “Besides, it’s my own liver that’s taking a pounding not anybody else’s.” Down the hatch went another glass. “No harm no foul.”

Neighbors AU Prompts

To say Lexa was a private person was an understatement. If there was something she wanted to be kept to herself, people could try every trick in the book but she would NOT relent. Living alone helped to keep her walls up and people out so therefor no one knew about her secret obsession with musicals. Some in particular and Phantom of the Opera was one of them. It had become routine, each morning in the bathroom – under the shower she would sing a song, which one was a statement to either her mood or what kind of day it would be. 

It was seven in the morning, the water had been brought to temperature and right on cue she started her morning concert. Singing her song as she lathered her body with soap, washed and rinsed her hair. It had become a morning ritual to her every day life, always the same. Well, until today. Just as she was about to slip into the second verse, to take over the second person in the song she heard a different voice, stopping her all together. Lexa turned and stared at the wall that separated their apartments, as if she could somehow look through it and see the neighbor she barely knew, who had only moved in a few weeks prior. When silence fell, the brunette understood it was her turn and after actually glancing around, she softly started up again to finish the now actual duet.
