Electrify | Powder & Kenzi
φ—Mackenzi Tennant had grown up with a rather rough life. It would seem as if she had the perfect family situation at home to everybody around her but what they lacked to know was that it was all a lie. Kenzi’s mother, Katherine, had been divorced since she had given birth to Kenzi. Since then she had dated numerous men who were viewed highly in the places that they lived at and would always act like everything was okay no matter how bad the situation would get. What Katherine failed to realize was the bruises that Kenzi would obtain daily from the different suitors that her mother had chosen each time they moved. Due to the fact of how everything seemed to fall apart in Kenzi’s world she became rather quiet and secluded, not talking to anybody in school and dressing in darker colors as she got older. Her mother paid no attention to what was going on before her eyes and Kenzi never spoke up to her. There was always something different about Kenzi that she had to keep secret from public her entire life and it involved her father. Kenzi was a demigoddess child of Hades, the king of the underworld. As she aged she found that she had special abilities attributed to her father and would visit him as often as she could in the Underworld hating whenever she had to return back to her mother.
Even though they frequently moved Kenzi would run away from her house no matter where it was they settled in. The last thing she felt like dealing with in any situation was her mother who denied anything wrong was going on and her abusive step fathers. Her latest trip found her in a small country oriented town. There were vast fields and a regular looking small town district that housed the school, sheriff’s department, and other local buildings. With this place being far enough from big civilizations Kenzi figured it would be an easy enough place to enroll in high school. The last thing she expected was that somebody else that was special would live in this town. After finding an old abandoned farm to call her home for the time being Kenzi grabbed out her fake ID, birth certificate, and other information before enrolling herself in high school. The next day she walked into the classroom about fifteen minutes late, her black hoody’s sleeves pulled over her arms to cover the bruises even though it was around a hundred degrees outside. Clearing her throat she took the only empty seat which happened to be next to a seat assigned to a boy named Jeremy. Kenzi placed her bag under her chair before looking down at her desk remaining quiet. It would be the easiest way for her to lie low plus she figured nobody would wish to talk with her anyways, even if they didn’t know her true identity.
