Goldfrapp is a lush synth-pop electronic duo that emerged in 1999 with nuances that seem to pull from an electric grid or musical motherboard. Ever since I first discovered Alison and Will, I knew their music was going to hold a prominent electronic presence in my life. Today I will highlight their 2017 release “Anymore” which displays an army of elegantly bare & architecturally sculpted females embracing one another on a picturesque sandscape where the colors spill from a pastel dream. The lyrics have a signature line, “Make me a freak” spilling this impatient need to be transformed and connected passionately with the object of their desire. I will leave the rest to you to watch. It’s pretty sexy if you ask me.
