Assignment 3: Proposal
Based on one of the works of the legendary fictional novelist H.G. Wells, I, Venn Mostacho, will use the everyday object found in my house and create a devise capable of travelling through time.
Yes that's right... I'm building a TIME MACHINE!!!!
I have yet to determine what devises to use to create my marvellous masterpiece of time and travel. But, if television has taught me anything, I will require a Flux Capacitor to guide me through the my journey. For those who are not familiar, the flux capacitor is the key component to the DeLorean time machine used by 'the Doc' in the Back to the Future series.
====
There really isn't any reason why I chose to create a time machine. I think they are cool and it's an ambitious task to do.
I chose to use the concept set by H.G. Wells rather than the DeLorean from Back to the Future because its more imaginative. For Wells to conceive the idea of time travel goes is a demonstration of true creative thinking and imagination. For my design concepts, I look to the everyday and even the mundane for inspiration. It's a challenge for anyone to be inspired to create something so magnificent from something so simple.
I am excited to see how this project will turn out and how far I can push the limitations.
Wish me luck and I'll see you in the future!

Presentation Notes
For my presentation, I will be exploring 3D generated environments
topics to cover:
original conception?
development - timeline
current usage - popular applications such as gaming and movies
examples in games: Call of Duty: Black Ops, SIMS, Second Life
examples in movies: Avatar, Star Wars

Examples to use:
"Intro to Virtual Reality"
Virtual Reality - Wikipedia
There isn't a direct linear line for the development of the VR or its tech, but wikipedia does its best to trace through history for its early origins. Early concepts of an artificial virtual environment can be traced to 1860's artist Baldessare Peruzzi and his 360 mural Sala delle Prospettive - a wall mural which filled an entire room.
