4. Do you wear glasses? yes. I have nerdy brown/purple square frames

6. What is your fashion style?  Country yoga goth.  I wear a lot of black dresses over yoga leggings, knit tops and sweaters, mala beads around my neck and wrist, and mary jane shoes.  I don’t wear makeup except for eyeliner and mascara, and clear lipgloss.

Electroset

fastrthanlite asked for a history of the Electroset, so this is my experience and what I know. If anyone else wants to add anything, please do.

When the band did their run of Broadway shows in the run-up to the release of Red Carpet Massacre, they broke the set into three sets: 

Playing the entirety of Red Carpet Massacre from beginning to end.

The Electroset

A final set that included “the hits.”

The Electroset was somewhat of a tribute to Kraftwerk in their lineup at the synthesizers across the stage, wearing matching suits. The set itself was a technofied megamix of some of the songs that don’t appear in their lives sets much (if at all) since the Reunion. Initially it also included covers of Kraftwerk’s “Showroom Dummies” and The Normal’s “Warm Leatherette,” but “Showroom Dummies” didn’t seem to make it beyond the Broadway shows (from what I saw). After the Broadway run, they added “Tempted” into the Electroset since they were no longer playing the entire RCM album at each show. The Electroset was a huge hit with the fans and they continued it into the bulk of shows for the rest of the RCM tour.

My bootleg mp3 of the electroset came up on shuffle today, and it’s still one of my favorite things they’ve ever done. It gives me goosebumps every time. I dream one day that they’ll make an official release out of it, so at least we could have a better sound quality version. This video is part 1 (most of the set) and here’s a link to part 2.
