Possibilities:
- Alice Hemsley, having seen some shit, enlists Geist’s help to erase her memories. Geist messes up and can only delete people’s memories of Alice.
- Alice asks Geist for help making everyone forget some event from her past, and Geist goes overboard, possibly because it would leave a weird gap in Alice’s history anyway so why not mystify her entire existence, possibly because this was like thirty years ago and she had less control over her power.
- She’s just a really private person who rose through the ranks in the proto-Syndicate without making any waves until she took over, and she plays up her mysterious aspects for funzies.
- Changed name at time of takeover to prevent questioning into past.
