“Good afternoon, my name is Holly J. My goddamn car broke down and-- wait a minute,” She paused as the sound of her ex's voice filled her ears. After a quick glance at the number on her phone, she realized she had mistakenly dialed an old friend instead of the repair shop's number, which had been saved. It wasn't a major deal, but it was Sav. Why did she still have his phone number? Some of her friends from Degrassi changed their number when they graduated and he could’ve too... but that didn’t seem like the case. At least it was good to hear a familiar voice again considering they haven’t spoken in years.
Pinching the bridge of her nose, Holly J frustratingly groaned. “Hi, hi. I’m really sorry for calling you. I didn’t mean to bug you, you’re probably really busy.” As it was her last year at Yale, Holly J had flown back from Connecticut to Toronto a few times to seek out a new apartment. She missed the atmosphere... more importantly the snow, the good food and the studies. While she didn’t miss the school considering all the friendships, drama and romances she had, Holly J felt more at home in Canada than anywhere else.
As she was in her old hometown, currently, she was on her way to a job interview and her car broke down on the side of the 401 highway. It made her frustrated and and thought she was calling Sam’s towing company. Instead, here she was, on the phone with someone she missed. At this rate, she was going to be even later, and was there even any point in trying? Pacing herself to keep warm as the cold winds of December air filled her lungs, Holly J tried hard not to snap from the stress. “How are you?”
