✄: Something about my portrayal that differs from others

While I haven’t seen many other Amaterasu players out there — and even less of human!Ammy — I play her as a bit out of her element, with rather formal speech and misused idioms. She’s kind and loving and maternal, yes, but she’s also mischevious, lazy, and more than a bit of a derp. She’s playful and occasionally immature, and I’d like to explore that side of her a bit more. When it really gets down to it, though, she’s loyal and might have some pretty solid advice.

✔: What got me into roleplaying

Neopets. Straight up. I started about nine? Years ago on the Neopets roleplaying forums; I tried roleplaying guilds too, but the first one to really catch my interest was a Tokyo Mew Mew roleplay, which was also my first actual foray into the world of animanga other than Sailor Moon/CCS/Pokemon/etc. (Go ahead, bite me.) We moved to Proboards a few months later, and it all just snowballed from there.

Zeta: Does your character have a specific place they like to spend their time at?

Mary's favorite place to go is to her cousins flower shop. Most days shes busy with school, friends, and taking care of her elderly parents but whenever she gets the chance she will go to Azami's flower shop.

Theta: What does your character’s normal day go like? 

Each morning she wakes up about an hour or two early for school. She will make breakfast and prepare lunches for her parents while calling up her friend kuroha to make sure he gets his butt to school in time. She usually takes the train to school and back with kuroha, his brothers, and a couple other of their friends. After school she will sometimes spend time with her friends but if not she heads straight home to make dinner, tend to her parents needs, and care for the daily house hold routines until she goes to bed.

Alpha: How have you au’d your character to fit the setting?

A lot! Here we are friends, it's time for the first Touhou lesson!

Raiko is actually a youkai. To be specific, she is known as a Tsukumogami, an item abandoned before its usefulness was up. Angry that it never outlived its usefulness, it becomes a vengeful youkai. However, she was born of different circumstances. Thanks to the power of a magical item, she gained sentience. However, knowing that when that item's magic ran out she would return to being her original item, a taiko drum, she found a way to borrow "magical power" from modern drums.

So this Raiko isn't a youkai at all, but rather a normal human with an affinity for drumming! However, she's still just as free-spirited as she is in canon!

Beta: Does your character live in Kairos or Palaria? Is there a reason for you choosing the place that you have?

Kairos! Paralia is a bit too quiet and boring for her. Plus, you'd kind of assume that more young people live in the city, which means many more people to flirt with
