Elegias Wrathless – Skill index
INTELLECT
TYPEX CIPHER (Logic) : Reasoning was never a hard thing for you, but it's something to cultivate. Nothing a bigot is more afraid of than critical thinking.
CASSETTE TAPE (Encyclopedia) : You love learning. Once, you got so bored at work you started memorizing all the music programmation for fun. Once a nerd, always a nerd.
ACCAPELLA (Rhetoric) : If there's *one* thing you're good at, it's choosing your words, appealing to an audience, and dissecting speeches. You're literally getting paid for it. The propaganda ministry really missed out on your skills.
AD-LIB (Drama) : Things rarely go exactly as planned, be it in real life or on air. Improvisation is key.
GLOW (Conceptualization) : You like making the mundane into something beautiful in your mind. It's the first step for making it happen in real life.
DIAL GLASS (Visual calculus) : The Devil is in the details, so no wonder a demon like you would like to reconstitute scenes. It's always useful to exist outside of your vacuum.
PSYCHE
COME TOMORROW (Volition) : Every sunrise is a miracle. The words your brother speaks to you could have been forever lost. You'll never take any of this for granted. How lucky you are to be alive.
NOISE APOPHENIA (Inland Empire) : If you listen close enough, you can hear their voices again. White noise is only white noise to those who haven't lost anything.
THE CHILDREN OF THOSE WE LOVE (Empathy) : "They'll have to remake a true State, where we discuss loudly and our hearts aren't closed." – Antigone May.
NAKED AMONG WOLVES (Authority) : You don't like raising your voice, but it's for your own good, and his. You shouldn't have to be an advocate, but it's not like anyone else will step up for you.
UNDESIRABLE (Esprit de Corps) : There's an emptiness that only your kind can understand. A shared loneliness. The silent shadow of the Demonic Question.
SMOOTH OPERATOR (Suggestion) : You have received... Embarrassing fanmail or call-in requests at work. Apparently, people think your voice is attractive. Sometimes your physique as well. You're not sure what to do with that.
PHYSIQUE
LONG WAY HOME (Endurance) : You've carried a child for hundreds of kilometers in the cold before, and you'd do it again. A hundred times.
NUMBER D13597 (Pain Threshold) : Bludgeoned, caged, suffocated, starved, branded. You don't come back from that, but now you know you can take it.
STRAWMAN (Physical instrument) : You're tall, lanky, and all you have to defend yourself are your nails and teeth. They knew you wouldn't hurt a fly.
MARCH 14TH (Electrochemistry) : She's been on your mind a lot, hasn't she? Maybe Hildred was right about pushing you to go out more.
BANDWIDTH (Shivers) : One listens to the radio in the kitchen, the car, the breakroom, in every house, at every workplace. You're everywhere, and they all call you from that everywhere.
LA RAFLE (Half Light) : A packed train. A railway covered in frost. Smoke rising into the air. You need to lay low, lest they turn you to ash too.
MOTORICS
ANALOGUE SIGNAL (Hand/eye coordination) : Everything should be in phase to work properly as an ensemble. Precision is key. See it as something like darts. You're decent at darts.
WAVELENGTHS (Perception) : Sometimes it's like you *sense* things more than you see, hear or smell them. The slight colorblindness and the persistent tinnitus are probably not helping. You manage.
CUE (Reaction speed) : It's all a matter of time. One second missed could ruin your show or make you start running too late. Either way, it's about survival.
RIDING THE FADER (Savoir Faire) : It's all about making it seem natural. Like it comes easily to you, like you know the steps by heart. Best to avoid an unwanted fumble.
CONSOLE DESK (Interfacing) : You're not a mechanic, but definitely tech savvy enough to patch stuff up to make it work before the actual professionals make it. How else would you have survived through the many technical mishaps of live shows?
CLEAN FEED (Composure) : No external interference should throw you off your game. Be amicable, be polite, and everything will go smoothly. No audience likes background noise.
