1. What’s their favorite color and why?

She loves the color blue, she finds it soothing. it reminds her of her older sister

2. Is there a particular nightmare that haunts them?

this recurring nightmare about her turning on her people. theres always a little girl, and she tries to defend her from the shadow people, and its only when everyone is dead that they become the villagers from her hometown, but its too late by now

3. Are they an early bird or a night owl?

definitely night owl, but not by choice. she always pushes back her night time as much as she can, avoiding another nightmare. its always exhaustion that puts her down.

4. What is their most prized possession and why?

her family signet ring. its the only thing she has left of them, the only thing connecting her to the royal family, she keeps it hidden and safe, on her at all times

5. Describe their ideal day!

honestly? a day with no fighting. out in the wild, enjoying nature, the serenity of silence, with her vampire lover by her side

Name: Eleira Nevari

Background: Eleira grew up as the youngest princess of House Nevari. She had a loving family and an elder sister whom she was extremely close to. As princesses, it was their duty to establish connections by marrying into royalty, carrying on the family name, and since her sister came of age first, she was married off to a prince of the neighboring kingdom. Eleira had a hard time accepting this reality, and as bargain, their father proposed to accompany her sister to her new home.

Thats when they got attacked. The bandits slaughtered her entire family aside from her, and a witch from their group cursed her to live forever in an attempt to pin the murders on her, and make her life eternally miserable. The situation awoke her rage and she heard a voice before blacking out for gods know how long. When she woke up, she had a familiar greatsword in hand and the bandits were all dead.

She rushed back home and tried to explain the situation to her advisors, but they had a hard time believing her. As the last heir, she was made queen in the following weeks and married off to the prince who was supposed to be wed to her sister. she wasnt given a choice, and when she found out that he was a shallow, entitled person, it pushed her rage to its limits, she let out a bloodcurling scream before everything turned to black.

when she came back to her senses, she was witness to a bloodbath; members of her palace, the prince, and citizens, all dead. somehow she had made her way outside and everything in her path had been butchered. she dropped her weapon and tried to back away when she was hit with a strong headache. thats when a voice spoke up, the same from the day of her family's murder. it explained how they were bound from the first moment she shed blood with it, and she will only be free when she dies. until then, she will need to feed it sacrifices in exchange for immense power, and if it goes too long without souls, it will start hurting her instead - taking her life essence instead.

Ashamed of what she had done and terrified of the powers the sword granted her, she fled her kingdom and has been on the run ever since, forever on the lookout for a cure to her conditions. 200 years later, when she was taken by the mindflayers, the tadpole altered her condition, breaking her link to the greatsword temporarily.
